It is important to note that PRP treatment can be complemented with other aesthetic procedures, such as hyaluronic acid or botulinum toxin.
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) has emerged as a promising therapy for tissue regeneration, and at our centre, we have refined its application over the years. Here we detail how we carry out this treatment with precision and safety.
The quality of the PRP and the skill in its preparation are essential for the success of the treatment. At our facility, we conduct a blood draw from the patient, followed by meticulous analysis in our in-house laboratory, where the necessary growth factors are isolated under sterile conditions.
The procedure is carried out in our office quickly and on an outpatient basis, generally lasting 20 to 30 minutes. PRP is applied using the microneedling technique, a procedure that stimulates the skin's regeneration capacity through multiple micro punctures, with the prior application of topical anaesthesia for the patient's comfort.
After treatment, it is common to experience slight facial redness during the first 24 to 48 hours. However, the patient can resume normal activities immediately, while avoiding exposure to the sun and extreme temperatures for at least 48 hours.
It is recommended to carry out several treatment sessions with an interval of approximately three months between each one to obtain optimal results.
PRP treatment offers a promising tissue regeneration option, and at our centre, we are committed to providing this service with the highest standards of quality and safety.
