In our daily work routine, it's common to spend long hours in front of a computer, which can lead to muscle tension and stiffness. Stretching in the office is an excellent way to relieve stress and maintain flexibility throughout the workday. Here are some simple and effective stretches you can easily perform at your workplace to release accumulated tension and revitalize your body.
1. Turn your body completely to the right and grab the left side of the chair with your right hand. Return to the starting position. Repeat the movement on the other side.
2. Slowly bend your body from your waist to the left until you feel the stretch in your oblique muscles. Hold the stretch, then repeat on the other side.
3. Slowly turn your neck to the right and slightly extend until you feel the stretch in your neck muscles. Repeat on the left side.
4. Slowly tilt your head to the left until you feel the stretch in your trapezius, then repeat on the right side.
5. Turn your head 90º to the right. Return to the starting position in a gently. Turn your head 90º to the left.
6. Look up at the ceiling until you feel a stretch as you exhale, and hold the stretch.
7. Raise your arms, puffing out your chest until you feel the stretch in your pectoral muscles and bíceps, and hold for a few seconds.
