Javier Elizalde, Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology

Dr. Javier Elizalde, Vitreous Retina surgeon at the Barraquer Ophthalmology Center, has received the title of Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology (EBO), also known as FEBO.

The appointment has been granted to him by the academic curriculum (scientific and teaching) and by the merits obtained after several years collaborating as an examiner, both in the written test and in the oral test (Viva Voce), in the annual call that is carried out in Paris.

In addition, this year Dr. Javier Elizalde has been appointed an official member of the EBO Educational Committee, the organizing committee of this examination that allows ophthalmologists to obtain the official title of recognized specialist in Europe.

The EBO was founded in 1992 in London. It is a permanent working group of the Ophthalmological Subspecialty Section of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS).
