Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a treatment that effectively combats premature aging using a quick, simple and safe procedure.

1. Before the treatment

It is crucial for the patient to select an appropriate medical center to perform the treatment. During the consultation, the doctor will conduct a thorough and personalized initial assessment, carefully listening to the patient's concerns and studying their anatomy. Photographs will also be taken to assess the effectiveness of the procedure upon its completion.

2. Treatment

The treatment lasts approximately 20 minutes, is performed during the same consultation, and is an outpatient procedure. It is carried out using a medical device that creates multiple punctures of varying depths in an automated, yet personalized manner according to the characteristics of each face, creating thousands of microscopic channels in the skin.

These small, controlled, and tolerable wounds trigger the body's natural healing response, promoting the natural induction of collagen and rejuvenating the complexion to appear healthier and younger. Additionally, microneedling facilitates the controlled introduction of various active ingredients, enhancing their absorption for aesthetic treatments. While it is a minimally invasive procedure, it is true that the micropunctures can be slightly uncomfortable. However, the discomfort is usually well-tolerated, and the results are well worth it.

Microneedling is compatible with other treatments and serves as an ideal complement to botulinum toxin, hyaluronic acid, revitalizing peels, platelet-rich plasma (PRP), or intense pulsed light (IPL).

3. After treatment

Microneedling results in regenerated and rejuvenated skin with natural-looking effects. This clinically proven solution safely and effectively improves the quality of the skin after the first session. The procedure requires minimal downtime, allowing the patient to return to normal activities as soon as possible.

During the first 24 hours, it is common to experience slight inflammation or redness, but this will gradually subside, revealing the results. During this period, it is recommended to avoid makeup, swimming pools, and extreme temperatures to allow the skin to rest. Additionally, following a diet rich in collagen can help enhance the effects of the treatment.

Generally, after the first session, it is advisable to repeat the treatment a month later and complete a total of at least three sessions to achieve the maximum effect. However, the treatment plan will be customized to meet the specific needs of each patient.
