Facial mesotherapy is performed through microinjections in a quick and simple procedure.
The procedure does not require any prior preparation on the part of the patient, only the correct choice of a specialized team where to go for treatment. Once in the consultation, the doctor will make a thorough diagnosis and clean the skin to prepare it for the treatment.
The procedure lasts approximately 30 minutes. Although the puncture technique can be done manually or with different devices, at the Barraquer Centre we carry it out with a sophisticated system in which we incorporate the finest needle on the market to accurately determine the depth, puncture speed and the amount of product applied to each patient. Thus, we apply a large number of injections but with the minimum mark and maximum precision. These micropunctures favour the patient's experience, optimizing results, providing more safety, more comfort, less bruising and practically no pain. The treatment biorevitalizes, provides intense hydration, corrects fine wrinkles and provides luminosity instantly. Facial mesotherapy is compatible with other treatments such as hyaluronic acid, botulinum toxin, revitalizing peels, microneedling or intense pulsed light (IPL).
The appearance of a slight erythema, facial redness, is frequent during the first 24 hours. This is an outpatient procedure and the patient can resume his/her activities immediately after treatment. Although it is a procedure that can be performed at any time of the year, even in summer, it is advisable to avoid sun exposure, UV rays and temperatures below zero for at least 48 hours afterward. It is recommended to carry out two or three annual sessions of facial mesotherapy, leaving a time interval between each one of one month. The patient can repeat the treatment whenever he/she wishes.
