We published the 2022 activity report of the Barraquer Foundation

In 2022, we increased the number of people served at the Barraquer Ophthalmology Centre through the Barraquer Foundation by 46%. Thanks to the activities we carried out, we doubled the number of direct beneficiaries compared to the previous year. In the 2022 Activity Report, which is now available online, we review all the work performed and highlight the most significant data.

Throughout the past year, we signed four new collaboration agreements with social organizations, which joined the more than 30 organizations already part of our "Mirem per tu" program. They all benefit from the ophthalmological care we provide through the collaboration with the Barraquer Ophthalmology Centre.

Promoting ocular health is one of our main priorities, and throughout the year, we conducted eye check-ups, prevention, and awareness activities. In 2022, we organized 10 comprehensive visual health screening events, where we attended to 336 individuals. Of them, 60 people received further treatment at the centre, and 131 more were able to get prescription glasses at one of the General Optica establishments, which continues to actively support our project, and we appreciate their contribution.

At the Barraquer Foundation, we continue to redouble our efforts to meet the numerous requests that come to us daily.
