First day of eye health check-ups of the year at Terral

On Tuesday, February 11, as part of the "Mirem per tu" program, a team from the Barraquer Foundation visited the Terral association, located in the Raval neighborhood of Barcelona, to conduct comprehensive eye health check-ups for girls, young women, and adults in vulnerable situations.

Terral is a socio-educational support centre that has been working for over two decades to promote the integration and personal development of women and girls at risk of social exclusion, combating marginalization and encouraging volunteer work.

During the check-up day, a total of 17 people between the ages of 9 and 47 were seen. Of these, 2 will need to visit General Optica in the coming weeks to determine their exact prescription and obtain their glasses; another 2 will undergo further examinations at the Barraquer Ophthalmology Centre, while the remaining 13 were found to have optimal visual health.
